LIVONIA, Mich. – The Indiana Tech volleyball team fell to #15 Madonna in three sets (25-16, 25-21, 25-15) on Friday evening.
 
Tech jumped out to 3-1 and 7-5 leads in the opening set, but the hosts quickly recovered to tie things up a nine before proceeding to go on a 6-2 run and take a 15-11 lead and never look back.
 
The Crusaders started the second set with a 7-0 spurt, but the Orange and Black would battle back. Down 20-11, the visitors would go on an 8-3 run to bring Tech within 23-19 and put the pressure on the hosts. It would not be enough however, as Madonna would close out the set.
 
Down 14-13 in the third set, the Warriors were poised to make a comeback, but an 11-2 run by the Crusaders, including an eight point run, allowed the hosts to seal the victory.
 
Cassie Sarabia and Katelyn St. Martin led Tech with seven kills apiece, with Sarabia adding seven digs as well. Taylor Kelso had a game-high 18 digs, while Karli Jones dished out 13 assists.
 
Indiana Tech (10-8, 6-4 WHAC) has a quick turnaround as they head to Adrian, Michigan for a matchup with Siena Heights on Saturday. First serve is set for 1 p.m. and links to live stats and video will be available at IndianaTechAthletics.com.
