LIMA, Ohio. – The eighth-seeded Indiana Tech women's soccer team saw its season come to an end on Wednesday afternoon as they lost to top seed and second ranked Northwestern Ohio, 6-0, in the quarterfinals of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament at Racers Stadium.
The Racers went to work quickly as Camilla Andersen scored twice in the opening 20 minutes of play to put Tech in a hole from which they could not recover. She scored the first goal just 12 minutes into the match and follow up with her second five minutes later. UNOH would add one more in the 33
rd minute to head into halftime with a 3-0 lead.
The defending WHAC Champions didn't wait long after halftime to add to their lead, scoring their fourth goal 102 seconds into the second half. Northwestern Ohio would add goals in the 51
st and 74
th minute as well.
The Warriors were outshot 27-6 overall and 12-1 in shots on goal. Junior forward
Jessica Zurcher led Tech with two shots, one on goal, while senior midfielder
Megan Perrey also added a shot. Junior goalie
Tailer Roscoe made six saves in her first loss of the year (4-1-0).
Tech concludes the 2015 season with a record of 8-10-1 and a 4-5-1 mark in WHAC play.
