v Life | v LWC | COLUMBIA, Ky. – The sixth-ranked Indiana Tech wrestling team split their final duals of the season with No. 11 Life and No. 12 Lindsey Wilson at the Life/Lindsey Wilson Triangular hosted by Lindsey Wilson College. Tech defeated Life, 22-18 before falling to LWC, 31-6.
In the first dual of the day, the Warriors dispatched Life, 22-18. Senior
Kristopher McKinley got the match started with a 12-4 major decision at 125-pounds and
Mitchell Pawlak followed with a fall at 4:39 in the 133-pound match to give Tech a 10-0 lead. A tech fall and decision at 141 and 149 cut the lead to just two before
Mitch Roadruck added three points with an 11-6 decision at 157. A loss at 165 cut the lead back to two; however,
Antonio Rodriguez won at 174, earning six points, and
Darryl Grayson earned a 7-3 decision at 184 for a 22-11 lead. Life got a pair of wins, but couldn't topple the Orange and Black who improved to 18-8 in dual meets.
McKinley got the final dual against the host Blue Raiders off to a good start with a 3-2 decision, but LWC rattled off four straight wins including a tech fall and major decision for a 15-3 lead.
Jacob Johnson earned a 5-1 decision at 165 to cut the deficit to nine, but the home team finished the dual with four more wins for the 31-6 final.
The Warriors will take a week off before returning to action on Saturday, Feb. 21 at the Schaefer Center for the 2015 NAIA East Region Qualifier beginning at 9 a.m. Live video of the event will be available at
