LOCATION: Fort Wayne, Ind. (Warrior Baseball Stadium)
 
BRIEF: The Indiana Tech baseball team took the final two games of the weekend series against Cornerstone, winning game one 8-2 with 11 hits before winning the second 2-1 with just one hit. The Warriors were led offensively by Romer Portes while Clay Wallace and James McReynolds were stellar on the bump.
 
FLOW:
GM 1:
- Portes plated Dezmon Nunn with an RBI groundout and Tighe Koehring then doubled home Kyle Mead for a 2-0 lead
- Steve Remesnik added to the lead with an RBI double, scoring Portes in the third
- Cornerstone broke up Wallace's no hitter with two outs in the fourth
- A wild pitch plated Kyle Mead; Derek Morgan walked in a run and Peyton Newsom singled home Koehring for a 5-0 lead
- Portes added solo home runs in the sixth and the eighth
- A two-run double by the Golden Eagles in the ninth accounted for the final margin
 
GM 2:
- Both pitchers took no-hitters in the fifth with McReynolds perfect through four innings
- Brian Hakes plated the first run in the first inning as Mead scored on a double play
- A sacrifice fly by Newsom in the fourth plated Nunn for the 2-0 lead
- Cornerstone broke up the perfect inning in the fifth with a leadoff single and an RBI single plated the Golden Eagle run
- Jared Harvey pitched well in relief and stranded a pair of runners in the seventh to earn the save
 
HIGHLIGHTS:
GM 1:
- Hakes led the team with three hits
- Portes, Koehring and Remesnik all had two hits each
- Portes collected a game-high three RBIs and scored three times
- Four other Warriors drove in a run; Mead scored twice
- Wallace improved to 1-3 allowing just two hits, walking two while striking out a dozen in seven innings
 
GM 2:
- Mead collected the only hit and scored a run
- Nunn scored and Newsom had an RBI
- McReynolds earned his first win; allowed just one run on three hits in 5.2 innings
- Harvey earned a save, allowing one hit in 1.1 scoreless innings
