RESULTS | NIOTA, Tenn. – The 13th-ranked Indiana Tech women's golf team opened the 2015 spring season at the Tennessee Wesleyan Spring Invitational on Monday and currently sit in second after the first round at Springbrook Golf and Country Club.
The Warriors totaled 328 strokes in the first round led by a pair of 80's from
Wiebke Schlender and
Courtney Dye. The pair are currently tied for third.
Bailey Bostler joined her teammates in the top-10 with an 82, currently tied for eighth.
Breanna Post carded an 86 and is currently 14th for the Warriors.
Jerika Bland and
Rachel George also competed for the Orange and Black posting a 96 and 97, respectively.
Southeastern (Fla.), who is ranked 24th in the NAIA, is currently leading the event with a 322, six strokes better than the Warriors 328. The host Bulldogs are currently third with a 346 with Reinhardt (348), Truett McConnell (Ga.) (365) and Bethel (Tenn.) (365) rounding out the top five.
The Warriors will conclude their first tournament with the final round on Tuesday, Mar. 24.
