PRESTONSBURG, Ky. – The 14th-ranked Indiana Tech women's golf team took part in the first round of the Mid-South Conference Spring Tournament at the Stonecrest Country Club on Monday and sit atop the leaderboard at the end of day one.
The Warriors finished day one with a 313, led by
Wiebke Schlender who finished tied for first with a two-over par, 74.
Courtney Dye and
Breanna Post joined her in the top five with Dye currently fourth with a 77 and Post tied for fifth, one stroke back with a 78.
Bailey Bostler is currently tied for 17th with an 84 and
Rachel George rounded out the scoring with a 92. Competing individually,
Jerika Bland fired a 91 for the Warriors.
Tech holds a three stroke lead over No. 7 Cumberlands (Ky.) who carded a 316 after 18 holes. Campbellsville (Ky.), who is currently receiving votes, sit third with a 326 while Lindsey Wilson (334), #RV Cumberland (Tenn.) (341) and Pikeville (Ky.) (341) rounded out the top five.
The Warriors will compete in the final round of the MSC Spring Championship on Tuesday, Mar. 31 with tee time scheduled for 9 a.m.
