BRIEF: Five different players scored at least two goals to lead the fourth-ranked Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team to a 13-9 victory over No. 10 Aquinas at Warrior Athletic Field on Saturday. In the Warriors regular-season finale, senior Lauren Allard led the charge with five points, scoring three goals for the victors.

FLOW:
The Warriors got on the board first with a pair of goals from Allard, but the Saints responded with a tally of their own to cut the lead in half. A pair of goals from freshman Kristina Scott and another from junior Aubri Hazen gave the Warriors a four goal advantage. The teams traded goals for the final nine minutes with AQ scoring three of the final five in the first half to make it a 7-4 contest at the break.

The Saints outscored the Warriors 4-2 in the first 12 minutes of the second half to get to within one, 9-8, but a well-timed timeout by Tech led to three straight tallies for the Orange and Black, one each from freshman Sam Vikstrom, and juniors Alexa Winter and Tayler Campbell to put the game out of reach with two minutes to play.

A pair of goals in the final minute, one for each team, accounted for the 13-9 final score.

IN THE NUMBERS:
Senior Alexis DiGiovanni, Scott, Hazen and Winter each tallied a pair of goals with Allard netting three and adding a pair of helpers.

DiGiovanni, Scott and Vikstrom added an assist each with Campbell and Vikstrom also scoring.

Vikstrom also dominated on the draw, recording 10 draw controls and added eight ground balls, both game-highs.

Junior goalie, Meaghan Eldridge, played big in goal, making 12 saves. Tech was outshot 27-21 in the contest and 21-17 in shots on goal. The Warriors also turned the ball over 23 times, but a 16-8 edge in draw controls and a 33-29 margin in groundballs were the difference.

UP NEXT: The Warriors clinched the second seed in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament and will play third-seeded Lawrence Tech in the semifinals in Grand Rapids, Mich. at DU Turf Field on Friday, Apr. 17 at 7:30 p.m.
