MT. JULIET, Tenn. – The Indiana Tech women's golf team, ranked 13th in the NAIA, placed three golfers on the all-tournament team and improved by three strokes with a final round 307, but finished second at the Bulldog Invitational at Windree Golf Club on Tuesday.
 
The Warriors wrapped up regular-season play with an impressive final round, led by Wiebke Schlender's one-under 71, finishing second in the tournament with a 36-hole total of 144 (73-71), three strokes off the winner. Five strokes behind her was Courtney Dye who improved by three strokes, carding a final round 73 to finish the tournament with a 149 (79-77), placing third. The final all-tournament team member for the Warriors was Breanna Post who finish sixth thanks to a six-stroke improvement on day two, posting a 74 for a two-day total of 154 (80-74).
 
Bailey Bostler tied for 23rd after her second day 86 gave her a 36-hole total of 164 (78-86) and Rachel George shot a final round 87 to finish the tournament with a 173 (86-87). Jerika Bland also competed as an individual for the Orange and Black.
 
Cassidy Scantland finished the event three-under par with a141 (70-71) to lead #RV Campbellsville to the team crown with a 606 (305-301). Tech finished second with a 611 (307-304) with Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) (318-320=638), Cumberland (Tenn.) (315-326=641) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) (323-323=646) rounding out the top five.
 
The Warriors will return to Fort Wayne for their next event, the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament at Coyote Creek Golf Club. The 54-hole event will take place on Monday and Tuesday, Apr. 20-21 with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. each day.
