BRIEF: The 18th-ranked Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team recognized five seniors who have helped maintain the programs' success, but after trailing by one at halftime, the Warriors ran out of gas in the second half, falling to sixth-ranked Grand Valley State, 24-11 on Friday night.

William McKinney did all he could to get the seniors a win, scoring three times in the opening quarter, including the first two of the contest. The Lakers tied the score with two of their own and
Nick Knauf put Tech back ahead with his fourth of the season. GVSU scored the next four to take a 6-3 lead, but McKinney netted another in the final minute to cut the deficit to one.

McKinney added two more second period goals while
Brian Nichter and Knauf also netted markers to offset the three Laker tallies to cut the margin to one, 9-8 at halftime.

The Lakers seemed to never lose a step after the break, scoring eight consecutive goals to go up 17-8.
Dan Schaepkens broke the run with a tally from McKinney, but the Lakers added another before the third period was over.

The visitors poured it on in the fourth, outscoring Tech 6-2 in the fourth with Schaepkens and
Jace Childs scoring for the Warriors in the loss.

IN THE NUMBERS:McKinney led the Warriors with six points on five goals and an assist while adding three groundballs and two caused turnovers…Seniors Knauf and Schaepkens each tallied two goals with the latter adding an assist and four groundballs…
Aidan Jarmus led Tech with six faceoff wins…The Warriors lost the groundball battle, 41-32 and face-offs, 26-12, while being close in the other categories
