The games conclude the Warriors season as Saturday's home finale has been cancelled due to imminent rain.
Â
FLOW:GAME 1It was an old-fashioned pitching duel in game one as both pitchers took no-hitters into the third, with Aquinas getting the first hit on a bunt single, but a pair of fly-outs ended the threat. In the fourth, a half inning later,
Bailey Dembinski got the Warriors first hit and reached third on a Saints error before scoring on a sacrifice, squeeze bunt by
Jessica Cotton for the 1-0 lead.
Â
Kilps made the run stand, allowing just three hits the rest of the way, with just one runner reaching third. The Saints best threat came in the sixth with a pair of two out singles, but Kilps induced a fly ball to end the inning.
Â
GAME 2The Orange and Black had a chance to score early as
Alli Watson led off with a walk, but was erased on a double play, however,
Hannah Foltz was hit by a pitch and Cotton singled to put two on, but a strikeout ended the inning.
Â
Tech got just three more baserunners in the contest, including a Cotton leadoff double in the fourth, but couldn't scratch out a run.
Â
Four hits, including a pair of RBI singles in the fourth put the home team ahead and three more hits, this time a two-run triple, accounted for the 4-0 score.
