BRIEF: The Indiana Tech baseball team pushed its win streak to seven with a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference sweep of Marygrove, winning game one 12-1 in just seven innings while taking nine innings to win game two, 3-2.

FLOW:
GAME 1
Tech belted out 20 hits, scoring 12 runs with five in the third, three in the fourth, one in the sixth and three more in the seventh for the 12-1, run-rule victory.
Â
Brian Hakes got the third inning started with a leadoff walk and his courtesy runner,
Kyle Mead came around to score on
Tighe Koehring's RBI double to open the scoring. Three more Warrior hits and an error plated four more runs for the 5-0 lead.
Â
Heller added to the lead in the fourth with a pair of two-out RBIs and scored on
Chris Gaynor's double for an eight run lead.
Â
A
Zach Fyfe sacrifice fly in the sixth added to the Tech lead and four more hits in the seventh sealed the win. Koehring doubled to lead off the inning and
Matt Bandor followed with a single, the former scoring on Heller's single up the middle. Gaynor then drove in both Bandor and Heller with a double to right for the 12-0 lead.
Â
In the last of the seventh, the Mustangs plated their lone run on one hit and one Warriors error.
GAME 2
It was a much different game two as the Warriors collected eight hits, but left eight runners on base, scoring twice in the first and once in the ninth for the win.
Â
Portes got the scoring started in the first tripling to left center to score Hakes and Koehring followed with an RBI double for a 2-0 lead.
Â
Marygrove got one run back in the fifth as two hits, a sacrifice and an RBI groundout made it a one-run game. It looked as though Nick Noe was going to make the lead stand, but a leadoff single in the seventh ended his day and a two base error put a runner at their and a single tied the game.
Â
TJ Lutz worked around a leadoff double in the eighth and Gaynor scored the winning run, doubling to left, advancing to third on the throwing error by the shortstop and then scoring on another throwing error by the first basemen to win the game.
