BRIEF: Led by a seven goal performance from freshman
Jace Childs, the 16th-ranked Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team defeated DePaul, 15-7. The Warriors outscored the Blue Demons 12-1 in periods one, three and four, but were outscored 6-3 in the second. The Tech defense was led by
Blake Johnson who made seven saves between the pipes.

FLOW:
- The Warriors opened play with an unassisted, man-down goal from
Carlos Matta. Matta collected a groundball and ran the length of the field before burying a 10-foot shot into the back of the net.

Dan Schaepkens netted his 13th of the season three minutes later and Childs scored his first goal of the game with an assist from
Brian Nichter; the pair connected on four goals in the game
- DePaul opened the second with a pair of tallies, and after Childs scored, added three more goals to take a 5-4 lead

Adam Cole and Nichter sandwiched another Blue Demons goal for a 6-6 tie at halftime
- Schaepkens netted the first goal in the third and Childs added two more from Nichter to make it 9-6
- In the final period, Childs scored three more times with Cole adding a pair and
William McKinney netting his second marker of the season
- DePaul scored the final goal for the 15-7 margin

HIGHLIGHTS:
- Tech outshot DePaul 57-24 including a 28-14 margin in shots on goal
- The Warriors were also 2-for-4 on extra-man opportunities while limiting the visitors to a 1-for-6 mark
- Childs finished with nine points on seven goals and two assists with six groundballs
- Nichter added six points on one goal and five assists
- Schaepkens had three points scoring twice with an assist
- Tech tallied 55 groundballs with
Kyle Dommermuth and
Kevin Goehring collecting six each while Byron Bendefeldt,
Aidan Cahill and
Lee Raymond each had five
- Raymond led the team with six faceoff wins in nine chances

UP NEXT: The Warriors will travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. on Saturday, Apr. 5 to compete against MCLA I, Davenport, in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship game. Faceoff is schedule for 6 p.m. at DU Turf Field.
