SAVANNAH, Ga. – The 14th-ranked Indiana Tech women's golf team moved up one spot to 17th in the 27-team field at the 2015 NAIA Women's Golf National Championships during round two of the 72-hole event. The four-day tournament is being contested at the Savannah Quarters Country Club.
 
The Warriors followed their opening round 324 with a day two total of 328, led by sophomore, Courtney Dye, the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Player of the Year,  who carded a second round 76 for a 36-hole total of 156 (80-76). WHAC Medalist and another sophomore for the Warriors, Wiebke Schlender, turned in a second round 80 and are tied with Dye after two rounds in 36th.
 
Bailey Bostler, a freshman, followed her opening round 80 with an 85 on day two and is currently 84th in the 143-player field with a 165 (80-85). Senior Rachel George shaved one stroke on day two, following her first round 88 with a second day total of 87 and is currently tied with three others with a 36-hole total of 175. Another freshman, Jerika Bland, made the biggest improvement, dropping seven strokes in round two to card a 93 for a two-day total of 193.
 
Dye currently has the third-best par 3 scoring average, finishing such holes event through two rounds while also leading the team with 20 pars. Bostler is the team leader in birdies and is third-most overall with 5.
 
Northwood (Fla.) currently leads the event with a 609 (308-301), just one stroke better than University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) (312-298=610). William Woods (Mo.) (305-307) and Dalton State (Ga.) (309-303) are tied for third with a 612 with host SCAD-Savannah (Ga.) is fifth with a 616 (308-308). The Warriors currently hold the final qualifying spot for the final round, with a 17th-place score of 652 (624-628).
