SAVANNAH, Ga. – For the second time in school history and twice in as many years, the 14th-ranked Indiana Tech women's golf team has made the cut and will play in the final round of the 2015 NAIA Women's Golf National Championships at Savannah Quarters Country Club.
 
The Warriors earned the right to play in Friday's final round by finishing in the top-17 of the 27-team field through three rounds, doing so with a 987 (324-328-335), just one stroke ahead of Thursday's playing partner, Milligan College.
 
For the second straight day, sophomore Courtney Dye led the Warriors, finishing the third round with a six-over 78 for a 54-hole total of 234 (80-76-78). Her teammate and fellow sophomore, Wiebke Schlender, carded a 79 and is currently one stroke back and two sports in the standings with a three-day total of 235 (76-80-79).
 
Freshman Bailey Bostler played three strokes better on the back nine than the front while carding an 87 for a three round total of 252 (80-85-87). Rachel George and Jerika Bland each carded a 91 in the third round, Bland's third straight positive round. George has a 54-hole total of 266 (88-87-91) while Bland has a 284 (100-93-91).
 
Northwood (Fla.) (308-301-306) and University of the Cumberland's (Ky.) (312-298-305) are currently tied for the lead heading into the final round at 915 with Dalton State (Ga.) just one stroke back at 916 (309-303-304). Oklahoma City is currently fourth with a 925 (307-315-303) while the host, SCAD-Savannah, rounds out the top five with a 927 (308-308-311).
 
The Orange and Black will tee off in the final round on hole No. 10, beginning with Jerika Bland at 7:40 a.m. on Friday, May 15. The Warriors will be playing with Concordia (Ore.) and several individuals that remain in the field.
