Warriors Dismantle Lancers

Box Score WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team defeated Grace College, 8-1, on Wednesday evening.
 
Joaquin Ferrando defeated Danila Kurkulin, who was the runner-up at the USTA/ITA Midwest Regional Championships this past weekend, 6-4, 6-3. Ferrando and doubles teammate Nicholas Aguiree, who won the consolation bracket at the Regional Championships, fell in a tough 8-6 match to Kurkulin and Ethan Grove. Aguirre would bounce back to defeat Grove in singles play, 7-5, 6-3.
 
Kino de Leon, Alberto Tenias and Nicholas Tripanon would all win in straight sets as well, 6-3, 6-1; 6-2, 6-2; and 6-2, 6-0, respectively.
 
The Warriors return to the court on Friday with their fall home opener against crosstown rival Saint Francis. First serve is set for 4 p.m. from Swinney Park.
