Box Score FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team fell in a hard-fought 5-4 match to Goshen College on Saturday afternoon at Swinney Tennis Center to conclude their fall season.
Tech got off to a strong start by winning two of the three doubles points. The one doubles team of
Joaquin Ferrando and
Nicholas Aguirre dispatched the Maples Leafs duo, 8-2, while the two double pair of
Mikel Oscoz and
Alberto Tenias won 8-4.
Singles play would not prove as kind to the Warriors, as Ferrando and Oscoz would fall just short in three-set thrillers. Ferrando would lose 6-4, 5-7, 3\8-10, at one singles while Oscoz was defeated by a score of 6-4, 4-6, 4-10, at two singles.
Aguirre and
Kino de Leon would win in straight sets at three and four singles, 6-1, 6-4, and 6-4, 6-2, respectively.
Indiana Tech (3-1) concluded their fall season with the loss and resume their season in the spring.
