GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The eighth-seeded Indiana Tech women's soccer team season came to a close on Wednesday evening at Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex as they were defeated by top-seeded and 20
th-ranked Davenport, 1-0.
Davenport would hold the advantage throughout the first half as they outshot the Warriors, 10-0, and did not allow a shot on goal in the first half and scored the eventual game-winner in the 40
th minute as Allison Luurtsema placed it in the upper right corner from 16 yards out.
The Panthers had numerous chances to extend their lead in the second half, but senior keeper
Tailer Roscoe made six saves in the second half to keep the Orange and Black in the game.
Jessica Zurcher registered the lone shot on goal for Tech in the 81
st minute and Roscoe finished the game with nine saves.
Tech finishes its season with a record of 5-12-2.
