LIMA, Ohio – The fourth-seeded Indiana Tech men's soccer team fell to top-seeded University of Northwestern Ohio, 3-0, on Wednesday afternoon at Racer Soccer Field in St. Rita's Sports Complex, ending the Warriors Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament run in the semifinals.
The Racers pushed the envelope early on the Warriors, scoring the first goal of the contest in the 10
th minute while peppering Tech's defense with 10 shots overall and three on goal, while the Orange and Black were only able to muster one shot on frame against UNOH.
The hosts would make it 2-0 just five minutes into the second half before tallying their goal of the contest in the 75
th minute and limited the Warriors offensively and not allowing a shot on goal in the final 45 minutes.
Viviano finished the contest with three saves while
Matt Robinson recorded the lone shot on goal in the 26
th minute.
Tech (14-4-2) will now wait for the announcement of the final Modified Ratings Percentage Index (MRPI) Poll, which determines the six-to-seven at-large bids for the NAIA National Championship. The NAIA will release the final rankings on November 14 while the Selection Show will air on the same day at 1 p.m. on the NAIA Network.
