ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team won its fourth consecutive game on Saturday afternoon as they defeated Concordia, 80-58, in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play at Concordia Gymnasium.
Miles Robinson led all scorers with 19 points on 8-12 shooting while adding eight assists and three steals.
Tanner Watkins,
Lavonte Davis and
CJ Bussey each added 12 points apiece while
Scott Schwieterman and
Max Huber contributed 10 points each. Schwieterman would grab nine boards while he and Davis each had two blocks each.
The two teams would trade lead through the first 10 minutes of the game, with the score being knotted up at 17 with 9:33 to go in the first half. Tech would take a five point-lead following a three-pointer from Watkins with 6:14 to go until the half, but the Cardinals would battle back to trail by just a point at the break.
The Warriors would jump out of the half with a 5-0 spurt, but the hosts would counter right back with a 6-0 run of their own. Nine straight points from the visitors though, would give Tech a double digit lead with 12:21 remaining in the contest.
The Orange and Black would continue to take over the game over the last 10 minutes, using a 13-5 run to hold a 74-51 lead with just under five minutes to go and cruise on to the win in their last conference game of the semester.
Tech (10-4, 6-2 WHAC) ventures out of conference play on Monday as they travel to Circleville, Ohio to battle Ohio Christian. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. from the Maxwell Center.
