HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The No. 23 Indiana Tech baseball team won its nine straight game on Tuesday evening with an 8-3 win over Huntington in nonconference play at Forest Glen Park. 
Kyle Mead, 
Brian Hakes and 
Peyton Newsom all drove in two runs and recorded doubles, with
Hakes going 2-3 with two walks and Newsom also getting a pair of hits. 
Zach Fyfe and Tighe
Koehring also hit doubles. 
Cody Kellar picked up his first win of the season with five-innings of four-hit ball with one strikeout. 
Connor McLaughlin and 
James McReynolds combined to hold the Foresters to four hits and three runs over the last three innings as the Orange and Black picked up their 22
nd win of the season. 
Tech drew blood first in the fifth inning after taking advantage of a Huntington passed ball and two errant throws as Mead scored on a wild throw to make it 1-0. Newsom would then drive in Hakes in the next inning and Koehring scored one batter later as the Warriors took a 3-0 lead in in the sixth. 
The visitors tacked on three more runs in the seventh as Mead doubled home Fyfe before Koehring drove home Mead and 
Charlie Sipe three batters later. 
Huntington would push across three runs in the eighth off McLaughlin as they used four hits, but McReynolds came in and induced a 6-3 double play to end the threat while the Warriors put two more runs on the board in the ninth to give them some more breathing room as McReynolds struck out two of the last three batters to close out their nonconference record with a 15-3 mark. 
Tech (22-3, 6-0 WHAC) returns to conference action on Wednesday with a four-game set against Cornerstone in Grand Rapids, Michigan. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. on Friday from DeWitt Field and links to live stats and video will be available at IndianaTechWarriors.com.
