FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 7/20 (NAIA/MCLA) Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team fell to No. 3/9 Siena Heights, 19-10, on Wednesday evening in their home finale at Warrior Athletic Field.

William McKinney scored three goals and had two assists for the Orange and Black, while Brian Nichter, Carlos Matta and Brandon Gates each scored twice. Jace Childs would add seven ground balls and a goal and Aidan Cahill picked up four ground balls. Lee Raymond was 12-27 on faceoffs while Joseph Dosen made seven saves in the loss.

The Saints would get out to a 3-1 lead seven minutes into the game, but the Warriors would counter with 46 seconds to knot it up at three. SHU would respond quickly though, scoring three times in the last 6:38 to take a 6-3 after the first quarter.

Matta would cut the deficit to two at the 13:48 mark in the second, but the Saints would tack on four goals over the next three minutes to take an 8-4 lead with 11:58 to go in the first half. SHU would add four more goals, including one with eight seconds to go in the half, to take a 12-6 lead after 30 minutes.

The hosts could not get anything going in the third period as they were outscored 3-1 and while Nichter would score two power play goals in the fourth quarter, they could not overcome the Saints lead and dropped their first game at home all year, 19-10.

Tech (5-7, 3-2 WHAC) concludes the regular season on Saturday when they head to Allendale, Michigan to face off with MCLA No. 8 Grand Valley State in Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association (CCLA) action. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
