BEVERLY HILLS, Mich. – The No. 4 Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team defeated #5 Lawrence Tech, 13-9, on Wednesday evening at DCDS Shaw Stadium Field in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action.
Sam Vikstrom scored a game-high four goals while earning two draw controls.
Kristina Scott,
Alexa Winter and
Heidi Tremaine each had two goals each while
Nicole Price had five ground balls and a goal. Meghan Eldridge made eight saves while picking up her ninth win of the season.
The Blue Devils jumped out to a 2-0 lead over the Warriors in the first 13 minutes of the game and lead 5-2 at halftime. The Orange and Black would come out firing in the second half however, outscoring the hosts 11-4 in the final 30 minutes.
With 12:42 remaining in the game, Tremaine would score to cut the deficit to 8-6 and spark a five goal spurt in the next three minutes to take a 10-8 lead, with Winter scoring the game-winner at the 10:10 mark.
Tech (9-1, 6-1 WHAC) returns to action on Saturday when they host Siena Heights in their penultimate home game of the season. Start time is set for 5 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
