FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team fell to top-ranked Spring Arbor (Mich.), 4-0, on Tuesday evening at Warrior Athletic Center.
The Warriors stood toe-to-toe with the defending national champions and number-one team in the country through the first half, with
Tailer Roscoe making seven saves, but the Cougars got on the board in the 42
nd minute as Morgan Marshall bet Roscoe to break the scoreless tie.
Spring Arbor would then turn up the heat in the second half as they made it a 2-0 game just five minutes into the half before scoring two goals in 90 seconds (62
nd and 63
rd minute) to break the game open with a 4-0 lead.
The visitors outshot the Warriors, 27-2, with 11 shots coming on goal, while the Orange and Black did not register a shot on goal.
Tech (1-5-2) begins Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action on Friday when they head north to Ann Arbor, Michigan for a matchup with Concordia. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. from Cardinal Stadium.
