FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's basketball team rebounded from a tough loss on Monday with a 86-66 rout of Lawrence Tech on Wednesday evening at the Schaefer Center in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play.
Miles Robinson led all players with 22 points, including 16 in the second half, going 8-11 from the field and dished out a game-high nine assists while recording four steals.
Franklin Lindsey added 20 points in his first time playing at home since February 14, 2015 while grabbing a game-high nine rebounds, connecting on four his seven three-point shots and going 8-13 from the field.
Scott Schwieterman chipped in 19 points and four rebounds while
Tanner Watkins added 11 points.
The Warriors would run out to a 12-3 lead in the first three minutes of the game, but the Blue Devils would cut the deficit to one with 13:29 to go in the half, with the hosts leading 14-13. A pair of triples from Franklin though would put the lead back up to eight.
Schwieterman would then go to work in the post, scoring eight consecutive points for the Orange and Black as Tech went into the break leading 42-30.
It was then Robinson's turn to dazzle as he went 7-8 from the floor in the final 20 minutes of action, going on a 6-0 run by himself while Lindsey had a pair of five-point spurts en route to 12 second half points. The Warriors would then put the game away with a 24-5 run to increase their lead to 23 points with 7:29 to go in the game as the hosts won their fourth straight conference game.
Tech (12-5, 7-2 WHAC) returns to action Saturday when they host No. 25-ranked Northwestern Ohio at the Schaefer Center in a 3 p.m. tip.
