FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team opens up postseason play on Saturday as they travel to fourth-seeded University of Northwestern Ohio for a quarterfinal matchup in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament.
Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. from St. Rita's Sports Complex (Racer Soccer Field) on the campus of UNOH.
Tech finished the regular season with an 11-7-0 mark and finished fifth in the WHAC with a 7-4-0 record and 21 points, qualifying for the conference tournament for the second year in a row and the fifth time under head coach
David Bokhart.
Brennan Cochran leads the Warrior offense with 13 goals and 28 points, ranking third and fourth in the WHAC, respectively, while
Ruben Leonardo,
Andrew Higgins and
Oswaldo Segura Diaz have combined to dish out 20 of the teams 38 assists on the year.
Richard Doll (5 goals), Leonardo (4) and Higgins (4) provide are all excellent scoring threats for the Orange and Black as well.
Edwin Rosado has started every game in goal for the Warriors, allowing just 1.72 goals per game and has made 64 saves in 1624 minutes while recording a pair of clean sheets.
The Racers defeated Tech in their regular season matchup, 3-1, back on Oct. 11 in Lima. UNOH is 7-0 all-time against the Warriors.
