Box Score FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team defeated regional rival Goshen, 6-3, on Sunday afternoon at Swinney Tennis Courts in their spring home opener.
 
Tech would open the match by taking two out of the three doubles matches, with Fernando Sousa and Mikel Oscoz winning 8-1 at first flight while the third flight team of Kino de Leon and Nicholas Aguirre won 8-4.
 
de Leon would then start off singles action with a double bagel, 6-0, 6-0, at six singles, while Rui Lima won 6-0, 6-2, at five singles to put the Warriors at the clinching match point, with Tiago Neves giving the Orange and Black the win with a 6-1, 6-1 win at four singles.
 
Sousa would close out the match with a straight sets 6-4, 6-4 victory at one singles.
 
Tech (5-3) returns to action on Thursday when they host regional rival Huntington at 4:30 p.m. at Swinney Park.
