Box Score GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team fell to No. 21-ranked Cornerstone, 7-2, on Saturday in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action at NorthPointe Christian High School.
The Warrior would find themselves trailing 3-0 after three-hard fought doubles matches, with the two doubles team of
Nicholas Aguirre and
Tiago Neves and the three doubles team of
Rui Lima and
Kino de Leon falling 9-7.
Neves and Lima would each spilt sets in singles action before falling in three, with Neves falling 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 10-5 at third flight while Lima lost 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 11-9, at the fifth position.
Aguirre would pick up a win a two singles, 6-4, retirement, while de Leon won 7-5, 6-2 at the sixth spot.
Tech (6-5, 0-2 WHAC) returns to action April 7 as they take on Davenport on the road. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m. from Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex.
