YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team snapped a four-game losing skid on Monday afternoon at they defeated Concordia, 8-1, at Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play at Chippewa Club.
Tech would take a 2-1 lead following doubles action as
Nicholas Aguirre and
Tiago Neves would win at first flight, 8-3, while the third flight of
Lucas Braga and
German Alejandro Ortiz picked up an 8-3 victory.
The Warriors would continue their dominance as they swept singles play, with Aguirre winning 6-1, 6-0 at one singles while
Kino de Leon had the same score at third flight.
Neves would win in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1, at the number two position, Braga won 6-0, 6-1, at the fourth flight and Ortiz picked up a 6-4, 6-2 decision at five singles.
Fernando Fernandez would pick up his first win of the season with a 6-4, 6-3 decision at six singles.
Tech (7-7, 1-4 WHAC) returns to action Wednesday as they host No. 4-ranked University of Northwestern Ohio. First serve is set for 3 p.m. from Kreager Park.
