GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team fell to Davenport, 9-0, on Friday evening at Riverview Athletic Club in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action.
Fernando Sousa and
Mikel Oscoz would put up a fight at one doubles before falling in a tiebreaker, 9-8 (8-6), with the former dropping a 6-4, 6-4 decision at one singles and the latter falling in three singles, 7-5, 6-4.
Lucas Braga and
German Alejandro Ortiz would fall in a tight match at three doubles, 8-6, while both fell in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2, and 6-3, 6-1, respectively, at five and six singles.
Tech (6-6, 0-3 WHAC) returns to action Saturday as they host No. 17-ranked Aquinas. First serve is set for 1 p.m. from Concordia Lutheran High School.
