HOWELL, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team defeated Cleary University, 6-4, on Wednesday afternoon at Lake Trust Stadium in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC). With the win, the Warriors secured a WHAC Tournament quarterfinal contest on November 3.
 
Erick Turner put the Warriors on the board in the 19^th minute with his 12^th goal of the season while Richard Doll knocked in his fourth of the year four minutes later to make it a 2-0 contest. The Cougars cut the deficit down to 2-1 in the 32^nd minute, but Malte Dennert converted a free kick in the 37^th minute to restore the two-goal advantage.
 
Dennert added two more goals in the 54^th and 59^th minute to increase Tech's lead to 5-1 while Ruben Leonard made it a 6-1 match in the 64^th minute. Cleary made a late charge as they scored three times in the final 12 minutes of action to make it a 6-4 game, but the Orange and Black came away with the three points.
 
Edwin Rosado made two saves in net to pick up the win while Doll had two assists.
 
Tech (12-4-1, 8-1-1 WHAC) concludes the regular season Saturday as they host the University of Michigan-Dearborn on Senior Day. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
