Tech Shuts Out Wolverines on Senior Day

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team concluded the 2018 regular season on a high note as they defeated the University of Michigan-Dearborn, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon at Warrior Athletic Field in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play.

Tech controlled the action throughout the first half, outshooting the Wolverines 13-4, but had all five of their shots on goal stopped by UM-Dearborn keeper Jordan Anheuser. The Warriors broke the scoreless tie in the 66th minute as a cross from Molly Ames bounced off a Wolverine defender and rolled into the net for an own goal to put Tech up 1-0, which would hold till the final whistle.

Ally Zenda made four saves in net for her second career shutout.

Tech (7-11-0, 6-5-0 WHAC) now turns their attention to the postseason and WHAC Tournament play as they head to third-seeded Concordia (Mich.) on Wednesday for a Halloween showdown. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. from Cardinal Stadium.
