ADRIAN, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team lost to Siena Heights, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play at O'Laughlin Stadium.
After a scoreless first half in which both goalies made multiple saves, the Saints cracked the tie in the 61
st minute to go ahead 1-0. The Warriors counted back with several shots on goal, but were unable to find the back of the net. Siena Heights made it a 2-0 game in the 80
th minute before extending their advantage to three goals three minutes later and held off a late charge from Tech to preserve the shutout.
Wynn finished the game with five saves while
Kayla Saffran and
Bailey Elliott each had two shots on goal.
Tech (3-9-0, 2-3-0 WHAC) returns to action Tuesday, October 9 as they host Concordia in a WHAC contest. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
