The Saints got out to a big lead in the first and never looked back as they started the match on a 12-6 run. The hosts grew their advantage to 18-8 before closing out the set 25-12.
The second set went back and forth between the two teams with nine ties and four lead changes. Trailing 13-9, Tech went on a 4-0 run to tie the set up at 13-13. Aquinas would regain the lead at 19-16, only to see the Warriors come right back to tie it up at 19. The Orange and Black took the lead at 23-22 and had a 24-23 advantage, but the hosts scored the next three points to win 26-24 and go up 2-0 in the match.
An 8-4 spurt to begin the third gave Aquinas the early advantage and they never relinquished the lead. Tech cut the lead down to 14-11, but that would be as close as they would get as the Saints finished off the sweep with a 25-16 win.
