FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 8-ranked Indiana Tech wrestling defeated Sooner Athletic Conference rival Lourdes, 30-15, on Thursday evening on Senior Night inside the Schaefer Center.
Jake Weimer started things off with a bang as he pinned Grant Pittroff 87 seconds in the 174-lbs. bout while
Zach Davis won 5-3 at 184-lbs. to give Tech the 9-0 lead. The Gray Wolves countered back with a decision and fall of their own to tie the match up at 9-9 after 285-lbs.
Sawyer Miller got the Warriors back on the winning track with a fall over Ray Porter at 5:13, as the seventh-ranked wrestler in the nation at 125-lbs. started a four-match winning streak for the Orange and Black.
Erique Early scored a 15-8 decision at 133-lbs.,
Da'Vion Wiliams dominated with an 11-2 major decision and 141-lbs., and senior
Tony Vasquez overcame a 3-0 deficit to get a 4-3 victory over Flynn Hamilton at 149-lbs. to give Tech a 25-9 advantage.

Mitch Roadruck gave the home crowd lots to cheer about in the final bout of the evening as he notched a 20-3 tech fall (3:00) at 165-lbs. over Bobby Kelly to give the Warriors the win and a 12-6 record in duals for the season.
Tech now turns its attention to the inaugural Sooner Athletic Conference Championships, set for February 17 at Oklahoma City University. Action is set to get underway at 10 a.m. EST from Abe Lemons Arena.
