BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's tennis team defeated NCAA Division III for Olivet, 5-4, on Friday afternoon at the Minges Creek Athletic Club.
 
The Warriors took a 2-1 lead into singles play after picking up wins at first Maria Jimenez / Lydia Miller) and second flight (Hannah Dodd / Kerigan Riley), at 8-5, and 9-7, respectively.
 
Jimenez made quick work at first flight with a 6-0, 6-0 double bagel over Rachel Hager while Kerigan Riley and Joselyne Bobos won at third and fifth flight, 6-4, 6-3, and 6-4, 7-5, respectively, to clinch the win for Tech.
 
Tech (2-7) begins Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play Saturday as they host Cornerstone. First serve is set for 12 p.m. from Wildwood Racquet Club.
