FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team defeated nonconference foe Holy Cross, 8-1, on Tuesday afternoon over at Wildwood Racquet Club for their third straight win.
Tech took five of the six singles points to start action, with
Lucas Braga recording a 6-0, 6-0 double bagel at sixth flight while
Pablo Bono notched a 6-1, 6-0 win at fifth flight.
Alvaro Garrido won handily at fourth flight, 6-2, 6-0, while
Rui Lima notched a straight-sets, 6-1, 6-1 win at third flight.
The Warriors concluded the match with doubles action and took all three points there, with the third flight of
Brunno Storani and
Lucas Braga leading the way with an 8-2 triumph.
Tech (4-9) returns to action Saturday as they host Lawrence Tech in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action.
