LIMA, Ohio – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team was defeated by No. 10-ranked University of Northwestern Ohio, 8-1, on Thursday afternoon at the Westwood Tennis and Fitness Center.
UNOH took a commanding 3-0 lead after doubles play, with the second flight of
Rui Lima and
Alvaro Garrido coming up just short in the 8-6 setback. Garrido notched the lone win on the day for the Warriors as he defeated Artur Culicovschi at third flight, 2-6, 6-3, 10-4, while
Brunno Storani fell in three sets, 6-2, 2-6, 3-6, at first flight.
Tech (6-13, 1-3 WHAC) returns to action Saturday as they host in-state rival Marian. First serve is set for 11 a.m. from Swinney Tennis Center.
