FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's tennis team defeated the University of Saint Francis, 5-4, Thursday afternoon in nonconference action at the Swinney Tennis Center.
 
The Warriors came out of doubles action with a 2-1 advantage thanks to an 8-6 win at first flight from Vero Jimenez and Martina Borges and an 8-1 victory at second flight from Joselyne Bobos and Elena Tokic.
 
The foursome would also notch Tech's win in singles action with Tokic clinching the match with a 7-6 (7), 7-5 win at third flight. Jimenez won 6-1, 6-2 at first flight, Borges won 6-0, 6-1 at second flight and Bobos won 6-1, 6-3 at fourth flight.
 
Tech (1-2) returns to action September 29 as they travel to Taylor University for a nonconference match. First serve is set for 2 p.m. from the Meier Tennis Courts.
