FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's volleyball team took on the University of Michigan-Dearborn Friday night at the Schaefer Center and won in straight sets, 25-19, 25-16, 25-13.
 
The Warriors were in a tough battle in the first game as they saw themselves tied with the Wolverines 8-8. Tech would slowly start to pull away and would eventually win the set to take the 1-0 lead. The second set did not look good at first for the Warriors as the Wolverines surged out to a 12-9 lead, but the Warriors were resilient and never gave up as they would come back and eventually take a late lead. Tech scored seven straight points to close out set two and take a 2-0 lead.
 
Set three was all Warriors from the get-go. Tech had a commanding 17-5 lead over the Wolverines and never looked back. Tech would eventually win the game 25-13.
 
Led by sophomore Olivia Niekamp with six kills, the Warriors picked up their ninth win on the season. Autumn Stokes contributed with 15 assists in the match, along with one ace. Madeline MacDonald came up with 11 digs and went over the 1,000 mark for her career.
 
The Warriors (9-7, 3-3 WHAC) return to action September at the Schaefer Center on Alumni Day. Tech takes on No. 23-ranked Madonna University at 3 p.m.
