FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's volleyball team took on Concordia University (MI) Wednesday evening at the Schaefer Center and won in three straight sets (25-13, 25-14, 25-15).
Tech came out hot from the opening serve and took a 13-4 lead. The hosts grew their advantage to 20-9 before winning the first set, 25-13. Set two saw Tech grab a huge lead again at 18-8. The Cardinals tried to crawl their way back, but the Warriors were too much and took a commanding 2-0 lead with the 25-14 victory.
The start of game three was different for the Warriors as they trailed the Cardinals 8-4 early. The Warriors would rally back though, and take the lead from Concordia thanks to a 5-0 spurt and closed out the match with a 6-2 spurt to complete the sweep.
The Warriors were led by sophomore
Allison Cole who had 11 kills and hit a blistering .733.
Courtney Mack had nine kills and a .438 hitting percentage.
Madeline MacDonald had 16 digs on the night while
Madison Park had 18 assists.
Indiana Tech (11-7, 5-3 WHAC) travels to Rochester College on Friday to start a four-match road trip. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Garth Pleasant Arena.
