FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team defeated Cornerstone, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon at Warrior Athletic Field, on Friends and Family Day as part of Homecoming Weekend, to move their unbeaten streak to five games.
Ruben Leonardo scored the lone goal of the game in the 35
th minute after
Brendan Sidaway crossed it into the box for the senior captain. The Golden Eagles had a pair of scoring opportunities in the second half, but
Ivan Safranic stopped both shots to preserve the shutout for the Warriors.
Edwin Rosado picked up the win after a scoreless first half of play while
Joseph Nash had two shots on goal.
Tech (6-3-1, 2-0-1 WHAC) returns to action Wednesday, October 3 as they host No. 25-ranked Madonna. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
