Warriors End Season with Shutout of Wolverines

RIVERVIEW, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team concluded the 2019 season Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 win over the University of Michigan-Dearborn in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action at Gabriel Richard High School.

Molly Ames and Megan Clifton both scored for the Warriors while Emily Tippman notched her first collegiate shutout with six saves.

After a scoreless first half that featured just 10 total shots from both teams, Ames put the Warriors on the scoreboard in the 49th minute with her second goal of the season. The Wolverines put some pressure on Tech after that, but were unable to find the back of the net and managed just two on target shots in the second half.

Clifton added the insurance goal in the 87th minute, her fifth of the season, to stop any hope of a UM-Dearborn comeback and give the Warriors the win.

Tech finishes the season 6-12-0 and 2-9-0 in conference play, fishing 10th in the WHAC.
