ZIONSVILLE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team defeated Indiana University East, 9-0, on Wednesday afternoon inside the Pearson Automotive Tennis Center.
All three doubles teams won by comfortable margins to put the Warriors ahead 3-0 early, with the third flight of
Alvaro Gomez and
Andres Leal winning 8-1. Leal went on to surrender just a single game in his match at second flight in singles action while
Pablo Bono won 6-0, 6-1 at sixth flight.
Rui Lima picked up a 6-4, 6-0 win at fifth flight while
Brunno Storani came back from down a set to win 4-6, 6-3, 15-13 at third flight.
Tech (4-5) returns to action on Saturday, February 23 as they travel to NCAA Division II foe Wayne State University. First serve is set for 12 p.m. from the Doris J. & Donald L. Duchene, Sr. Athletic Facility.
