CAMPBELLSVILE, Ky. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team fell to No. 9-ranked Campbellsville University, 6-3, on Tuesday afternoon at the Kelly Hall Tennis Complex.
The Warriors got out to a 2-1 lead after doubles play thanks to wins from the first flight of
Tiago Neves and
Brunno Storani (9-8) and the second flight of
Rui Lima and
Alvaro Garrido (8-3). Tech could only manage one win in singles action through, as Storani won 6-3, 6-2 at second flight, as the Tigers regrouped and took the match.
Lima and Garrido each split sets before falling at fifth and fourth flight, respectively, while Andreas lost 7-5, 6-5 at third flight and
Pablo Bono fell 6-4, 7-6 at sixth flight.
Tech (6-9) returns to action on Thursday as they take on No. 7-ranked Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee. First serve is set for 12 p.m. from the Tommy Gray Memorial Tennis Courts.
