LEBANON, Tenn. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team concluded its three-game road swing through Kentucky and Tennessee on Wednesday afternoon as they fell No. 14-ranked Cumberland University, 7-2, at the Kelly Hall Tennis Complex.
Tech trailed just 2-1 after doubles action with the second flight of
Rui Lima and
Alvaro Garrido winning 8-5, but was only able to pick up one win in singles from the first flight of
Tiago Neves, 6-3, 7-5, as they fell to their second Top 25 opponent in as many days.
Brunno Storani, Lima and
Pablo Bono each split sets at second, fifth and sixth flight, respectively, before falling to their respective foes.
Tech (6-10) returns to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play Saturday as they travel to Cornerstone University. First serve is set for 1 p.m. from the Grand Rapids Racquet Club.
