GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team defeated Aquinas College, 8-1, on Saturday afternoon in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action inside MVP Sportsplex.
The Warriors surrendered just six points across all three doubles teams as they swept through the matches to take a 3-0 lead. The third flight of
Alvaro Gomez and
Andres Leal won 8-1 while
Tiago Neves and
Brunno Storani won 8-2 at second flight.
Leal would post a double bagel at third flight while
Alvaro Garrido won 6-0, 6-0 as well at fourth flight.
Rui Lima dropped just one match at fifth flight while
Pablo Bono won 6-3, 6-0 at sixth flight.
Tech (8-10, 3-1 WHAC) returns to action on Tuesday, April 2 as they travel to Bethel College for a nonconference matchup. First serve is set for 2:30 p.m. from Knollwood Country Club in Granger, Indiana.
