FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 4-ranked Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team defeated Tennessee Wesleyan, 15-4, Thursday afternoon in their home opener at Warrior Athletic Field.
The Warriors came out firing to open their home slate with three goals in the first four minutes of the game, scoring just over a minute apart for each goal. The Bulldogs cut the deficit down to two goals with 7:52 to play in the second quarter, but Tech answered with two goals with the next minute to make it a 7-3 game.
The Orange and Black continued their domination in the second half by scoring four times in both the third and fourth quarter and holding Tennessee Wesleyan scoreless over the final 30 minutes of the game.
Noah Puckett and
Louis Czech each finished with six points, with the former having four goals and two assists while the latter had three goals and three assists.
Chandler Peterson notched a hat trick as well while
Evan Schuster had four saves in the cage to pick up the win.
Tech (4-1) returns to action on Saturday, March 16 as they continue a four-game homestand against Columbia College (Mo.). Opening faceoff is set for 1 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
