FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 22-ranked Indiana Tech baseball team swept Concordia University in a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon at Warrior Field, winning game one 4-0, and game two in seven innings, 14-4.

Kyle Harvey scored the first run of the game as he took off for home after the Concordia pitcher threw back to second on an attempted appeal as Harvey went from second to third on a fly out.
Jacob Alvidrez homered on the first pitch of the third to make it a 2-0 while
Jake Ritson took one off the shoulder with the bases loaded to knock in another run and push the lead to 3-0.

Christian De Los Santos homered in the fourth to cap the scoring at four and that was more than enough for
Charles Dunavan, who threw a complete game shutout and struck out a career-best nine hitters in the victory.

The Cardinals jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first of game two, scoring on three hits, a walk and a balk, but a two-out rally from the Warriors in the bottom of the frame made it a one-run game. A Concordia error with two outs extended the inning while a double steal with Ritson and Harvey payed off for the third run of the inning.

Tech's offense continued to pound out runs in the second with another two-out rally as they pushed five more runs across the plate. Alvidrez kicked off the rally with a two-out single and came around to score in the next at-bat thanks to a
Reese Olden double. Back-to-back singles from
Branson Dossen and Harvey following an intentional walk to
Glen McClain made it a 6-4 game, while Ritson drove in a pair of runs with a double to the gap in right center to push the advantage to 8-4.

Seth Sorensen allowed just two baserunners over the next three-plus innings to keep the Cardinals grounded while Tech's third two-out rally of the game came in the seventh as another double from Olden and a
Jake DeFries two-bagger extended the lead to 14-4 and enacted the 10-run mercy rule.

Ritson finished the game with three RBI's while Olden scored four times. Sorensen picked up the win after going 5.2 innings in relief and allowing just three hits.

Tech (22-12, 7-3 WHAC) returns to action on Tuesday as they host Indiana University Kokomo in a nonconference game. First pitch is set for 5 p.m. from Warrior Field.
