YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team defeated Concordia University (Mich.), 9-0, on Tuesday afternoon at the Chippewa Tennis Club in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action. With the win the Warrior secure the number two seed in the upcoming WHAC Tournament.
The Warriors dropped just three points in doubles action with the second flight of
Tiago Neves and
Brunno Storani and the third flight of
Alvaro Gomez and
Andres Leal posting shutouts. Neves, Storani and Leal would only drop one point at first, second and third flight, respectively, in singles play, while
Alvaro Garrido and
Rui Lima both recorded double bagels at fourth and fight singles.
Tech (10-10, 4-1 WHAC) returns to action on Friday as they host NCAA Division III foe Anderson University on Senior Day. First serve is set for 4 p.m. from Swinney Tennis Center.
