GOSHEN, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's tennis team ended their regular season with an exclamation point Monday afternoon as they defeated regional rival Goshen College, 9-0, at the GC Tennis Complex.
 
The Warriors came out of doubles play with a 3-0 lead despite a trio of close matches. Alvaro Gomez and Andres Leal won 8-4 at third flight while the first flight of Alvaro Garrido and Rui Lima won 9-7 and the second flight of Tiago Neves and Brunno Storani won 8-6.
 
Storani posted a shutout in his first set of singles play at second flight before pulling out a 7-5 victory to win in straight sets. Lima dropped just two games at fifth flight while Pablo Bono won 6-3, 6-1 at sixth flight.
 
Tech (12-10) now turns its attention to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament where they are the number two seed for the first time in program history. The Warriors will await the winner of third-seeded Lawrence Tech and sixth-seeded Concordia in the semifinals on Wednesday, April 24.
